Several reports, including [The State of Remote Simultaneous Interpretation in 2020-21,](https://www.congressrental.com.au/rsi-survey-report.html) the [Survey of Interpreters Experience with Virtual Sittings](https://www.acep-cape.ca/sites/default/files/2021-05/Interpreters%20survey%20_%20summary%20of%20Highlights_2021_final.pdf) working for the Canadian Parliament, the [report for Conference Interpreting after Covid-19](https://reporting.alchemer.com/r/338303_604a04c636c705.20156683), and the [ESIT Research Project on Remote Simultaneous Interpreting](https://ec.europa.eu/education/knowledge-centre-interpretation/news/esit-research-project-remote-simultaneous-interpreting_en) highlight the impact of speaker sound quality for interpreters. ESIT's research even points out that a staggering 93% of interpreters have had to deal with speakers using inadequate equipment at some point in their careers.
