The global organization hosts many events and conferences to promote motorsport and safe, sustainable and accessible mobility for all road users across the world. ## Overview Having always used in-person simultaneous interpretation for their events, in 2020 and before social distancing was imposed, FIA embraced remote simultaneous interpretation for their on-site event in Oman. The event needed to be interpreted in 8 languages and using Interprefy's RSI meant fewer logistics as interpreters worked remotely and on-site attendees listened to interpretation from their mobile phones. ## The Challenge ### Finding a solutions provider who could adapt quickly to changing needs FIA's meeting and event agenda became virtual soon after trying RSI at their on-site event in Oman because of Covid-19. This sudden change of set-up meant FIA needed to adapt their events quickly and find a provider who could continue to support them in any event type. ## The Approach ### A comprehensive solution by a reliable and flexible provider Fortunately, Interprefy RSI solution works in on-site, online and hybrid set-ups so FIA could continue using remote simultaneous interpretation in their then, virtual events. On top of that, the fact that Interprefy RSI solution worked alongside over 60 meeting platforms allowed FIA to keep on using the meeting platform of their choice and still enjoy simultaneous interpretation performed on a professional interpreting platform. For their virtual events, attendees could listen to the interpretation provided by professional simultaneous interpreters working on Interprefy RSI platform, directly on Zoom and via the Interprefy mobile app. **It is essential for us to know that we can count on Interprefy to provide interpretation in any kind of situation." - Caroline Sainte-Croix, Head of Events at FIA. ## The Outcome ### Crystal clear remote simultaneous interpretation for on-site, online and hybrid events and conferences Interprefy has helped FIA to bridge language barriers for over 2 years now. As well as sourcing the interpreters for these events and providing the technology that allows interpretation in such a variety of scenarios, we've also monitored each event to make sure everything run as smoothly as FIA's own competitions. FIA tested and adopted RSI before Covid-19 related restrictions applied and in that sense, they were visionaries. This allowed them to adapt fast to the fully virtual set-ups required in the past but also to move to hybrid configurations in recent times.
